Plain-language summary: use the tools to make your stuff — it stays your stuff. Don't use the service to break the law or break the service. Memberships cancel anytime. Keep your own backups too (we give you an export button for exactly that).
1. Who's offering this
These terms are between you and Sound Grind Soul ("SGS", "we"), Oklahoma City, OK, and cover soundgrindsoul.com and its tools, including The Vault and Be. Tools are designed and built in partnership with Game Theory LLC. Contact: [email protected].
2. Your content is yours
- You retain all copyright and ownership of everything you create or upload — lyrics, melodies, recordings, journal entries, ideas, all of it.
- You grant SGS only the narrow, revocable technical license needed to operate the service: storing your content, syncing it between your devices, and displaying it back to you. Nothing else — no publishing rights, no derivative rights, no AI-training rights.
- Delete your content or your account and that license ends with it.
3. Your account
- Keep your login credentials to yourself; you're responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be 13 or older to create an account.
- Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to store or distribute unlawful content, to infringe anyone else's rights, to attempt to access other users' data, or to disrupt or overload the service. We can suspend or close accounts that do.
5. Memberships & billing
- Paid plans are billed by our payment processor on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) at the prices shown on the membership page — no hidden fees.
- Cancel anytime; you keep your paid features until the end of the period you've paid for. Details are in the Refund Policy.
- If you cancel, work you already synced stays in your cloud space — it just stops syncing. Your local work is never touched.
6. The tools, honestly
- The free tools are provided as-is, and we work hard to keep everything running — but we're a small independent company, so we can't promise uninterrupted or error-free service.
- Keep your own backups. The Vault has a one-tap export for this. We strongly recommend using it regularly, member or not.
- To the maximum extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Be. is not therapy. It's a self-guided journaling tool built on published research, not medical or mental-health advice. If you're struggling, please reach out to a professional.
7. Changes
If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes to how your content is treated will never be retroactive — Section 2 is the deal, and it stays the deal.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, USA.
